An immersive journey
into Patanjali’s eight limbs of Yoga.
One limb at a time.
One year at a time.
The Eightfold Path is a retreat experience for those seeking the space to go deeper.
Deeper into what?
INSIGHT | Contemplative Inquiry
The Embodied Practice of Tantric Hatha Yoga
The Art, Science, & Philosophy of Vedanta and Sankhya
The Eightfold Path is an evolutionary multi-year experience that offers an opportunity to explore the technologies, knowledge, and wisdom alive at the heart of the yoga tradition.
Slowly over the course of time
as the teachings were intended.
By design, it gives the power and potency of the practices, and the process they induce, the organic space needed to assimilate, integrate, and mature.
The Eightfold Path is a temple of community.
Built on a shared passion for self-knowledge, and a deeper understanding of the human experience strengthened and realized by the collaborative energy of practice.
While guided with precision and devoted
to tradition, there is no guru here.
It is a place of accountability.
It is a place of sovereignty.
It is a place of autonomy.
The teachings, the minds, and the hearts
of each participant hold the key.
Some join to experience one retreat.
Some have committed to the journey of all eight.
Regardless, each year functions as a return.
And the circle is always open.

THE EIGHTFOLD PATH
IS A TECHNOLOGY FREE RETREAT
NO PHONEs | NO COMPUTERS
The Eightfold Path opened in the Spring of 2018.
In Nosara, Costa Rica.
It began with the teachings of the first limb: YAMA
YAMA is the yoga of relationship.
Relationship to self and the changing world around us.
The techniques of YAMA help shape our
willingness to be understanding and compassionate,
to abide in truthfulness, act in integrity, tend to our
vital energy, and to enhance the strength and measure
of our generosity.
YAMA, at its quintessence, manifests as an undeniable state of coherence with the felt sense of love.
In March of 2019, The Eightfold Path continued
with the second limb: NIYAMA.
The retreat relocated to the mountain town just northeast of the Sand Dunes National Park,
NIYAMA in practice, is the yoga you do when
nobody else is paying attention.
The methods presented in this limb are personal observances and internal purification techniques.
What is the true value and
embodiment of contentment?
How do treat my body internally,
and maintain my space externally?
By what means can I build enough internal
heat to initiate purification?
As I live my life, how do I reflect on my thoughts,
words and actions to gain insight and understanding?
What is my relationship to surrender, and do I create the space within myself to enable
grace to move through me?
